Productions of Nature

Reassembling the Natural Principal Co-Investigators and Co-curators Anna-Sophie Springer and Dr. Etienne Turpin are currently working on a major new book-as-exhibition project, Productions of Nature, which brings together a decade of field work and archival research on the colonial histories and possible futures of natural history collections. The book will act as the project’s final material outcome, convening together for the first time research and writing from over a dozen countries and over forty natural history collections. Springer is internationally-renown for advancing the “book-as-exhibition” curatorial-editorial methodology through her publishing atelier K. Verlag; with Productions of Nature, she will leverage her expertise to realize an ambitious, transdisciplinary, open access publication, co-edited with Dr. Turpin.
